Winslow Homer was one of the greatest American artists of the nineteenth century.  His output included paintings, separate prints, book illustrations, and a surprisingly large body of illustrations designed for the pictorial press.  He produced about 250 images that appears in such periodicals as Harper’s Weekly and Every Saturday.  This book by David Tatham is the definite reference on these periodical illustrations, with scholarly text and a complete checklist of these prints.
